Kingsbridge Community College
Free to attend - booking essential
Join us for the first public meeting of the Friends of the Salcombe-Kingsbridge Estuary - a newly formed community group dedicated to reducing pollution, supporting biodiversity and engaging our community in ways to help our local marine environment thrive.

The evening will be both a celebration of our fascinating estuary, and a call to action to support its health.

Hear inspiring talks from:

Nigel Mortimer - Estuaries Officer - on the biodiversity in the estuary and the key threats and issues facing it.

Yealm Estuary to Moor Project - on how they are restoring and reconnecting precious fragments of wildlife habitat along the length of the Yealm.

Friends of the Dart - on how they activated the community along the Dart to safeguard the health of the river, and grew into a multi stakeholder project. The FoD will also share their River Health Framework which will support other communities to take action for their own waterways.
We will discuss the threats the estuary faces and actions we can all take as a community to improve and protect the water and ecosystems it supports.
All are welcome! Please book a free space so we know how many to expect. Refreshments provided.

We hope you can join us and look forward to coming together for the health of our estuary.
